MRS. HUBERT E. ALLEN DIED

Mrs. Hubert E. Allen formerly Margaret E. Boyd, passed away at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. G. Boyd, near Stanhope, after a very brief illness, last Friday, October 18th.

Mrs. Allen has been staying at the home of her parents since last February, as her husband Hubert E. Allen, had been at Oakdale Sanitarium near Iowa City receiving treatment for his health. A week ago Mrs. Allen suffered a complete nervous breakdown, and although she had been in very good health before, her condition became more critical each day, and she finally passed away.

Margaret E. Boyd was born January 16, 1895, and died October 18, 1918, at the age of 22 years, 9 months and 2 days. Funeral services were held at the home on Sunday and also at the Story City cemetery, where interment was made.

This is the second death to occur in the E. G. Boyd family in a little over a week, their son, Andrew, having died at Camp Dodge on October 10th. All the members of the family have been sick, but are now recovering. Somehow the report became circulated that Hubert E. Allen had also died, and we are glad to be able to correct this rumor, and to state that he is recovering from his recent illness, as are the other members of the Boyd family.

The sympathy of all is extended to this grief-stricken family, in the loss of their son and daughter.
