Sioux County Herald of Oct 12, 1882 Mrs. Cottrill widow of the veteran who died three years ago, lost on of her boys Saturday night. We did not learn of the cause of his death.
(James would have died 1879 then.)

This account has James Cottrell born Dec 14, 1842 England and died Nov 4, 1879 Ireton IA. He was the son of Thomas Cottrell 1798-1870 and Mary 1818.

This account has James Addison Webster born Jan 1852 in OH died 6 Mar 1922 (same date as Elsie??)
