Mrs. Alice Rothmeier, age 58, of Le Mars, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at Floyd Valley Healthcare in Le Mars.
The family will be hosting a memorial service on Wednesday, December 18, at 3:30pm, at the House of Missions and Equipping in Sioux Center, with Pastor Michael De Jong officiating. Interment will be at a later date. The Oolman Funeral Home in Orange City is assisting the family.
Alice Irene was born on April 7, 1966, in Savannah, Georgia, the daughter of Allen Wayne Driggers. She was raised in Garden City, Georgia, where she attended the Mercer Middle School and graduated from the Groves High School in 1984.
Following high school, Alice lived in the Savannah, Port Wentworth area, and worked as the office manager at Brooks Auto Parts, now Napa Auto Parts. She performed bookkeeping and collections duties for six stores and assisted the store president.
In 1995, she moved to Clements, Minnesota, and in 2000, she decided to be a stay-at-home mom when her daughter, Ashley, was born. She then moved back to Rincon, and then Savannah until July of 2024, when she decided to be closer to her daughter, and moved to Orange City and then Le Mars.
Alice enjoyed doing bookkeeping, cleaning, watching television, spending time with her family, and caring for her daughter. She was a fighter and loved her daughter and family fiercely. Her beauty, wisdom, and sense of humor will be deeply missed.
Survivors include her daughter and her husband, Ashley and Bret Krosschell, of Orange City; two step-grandchildren, Liam and Kyler Krosschell, both of Orange City; a sister and her husband, Rachel and Ronnie Hudson; and a brother and his wife, Samuel and Linda Driggers, all of Savannah; an aunt, Patricia Swisher, of Florida; and many cousins.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Van Driggers; a grandma, Alice Driggers; and an uncle, Wade Driggers.
