Education: Attended grade school at St. Michael’s Catholic School, Harlan, IA, and in junior high, moved to the Harlan Community Schools system; she graduated from Harlan High School with the Class of 1978. While in school, Nancy was very active in sports. She started all 5 years for the Harlan Community High School Softball team, and played in state tennis doubles during her junior and senior years. After graduation, Nancy attended college at Wayne State University, Detroit, MI, eventually transferring to North West Missouri State, Maryville, MO, from which she graduated in 1982.

Hobbies/Interests: After finishing school, Nancy continued to play in many mixed slow pitch leagues and tournaments. She loved Snoopy and the Nebraska Cornhuskers, but mostly she loved her family, watching her nieces and nephews grow up and attending all of their events.
