EMERY DOSER
Emery Doser, eldest child of William and Lura Shaha Doser, was born October 30, 1898, on a farm near Kellerton, Iowa, and passed away October 6, 1973, in the Ringgold County Hospital at the age of 74 years, eleven months and six days.
Mr. Doser attended the Merritt School and later the Kellerton Independent School from which he graduated in 1919.
He accepted Christ as his personal Savior and joined the Kellerton Methodist Church on August 18, 1912.
On June 1, 1929, he was united in marriage with Ethel Bigley, and of this union were born four children -= Paul Eugene, Esther Catherine, William Alfred (stillborn) and Raymond Earl.
Mr. Doser loved the outdoor life and was proud to be a farmer. He spent his entire life in Ringgold County, except for eight years, most which was spent in St. Paul, Minn.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Charles.
Besides his widow, Ethel, he leaves to mourn his passing, his children and their families - Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Doser. of Marcy, N Y., Mr. and Mrs. Eugene McAlexander of Beaconsfield and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Doser of Kellerton; twelve grandchildren; his sisters, Mae (Mrs. Wirt Munyon) of Osceola and Faye (Mrs. Chester Klink) of Ronan, Mont., and a brother, Ray, of Melba, Idaho, and their husbands, and wife; nieces and nephews and many other relatives.
Funeral services were held October 9, from the Kellerton United Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. Walter Zarr. Jack and Arlen Hughes sang, accompanied by Mrs. Weldon Meadows. Casket bearers were Glen Sissel, Ora Fugate, Rex Jackson, James Payton, Perry Woollums and Maynard Merrill. Burial was in the Maple Row Cemetery at Kellerton.
