Loris Thomason died November 2, 2011 at Arbor Springs in West Des Moines.

Loris was born in Newton, IA on October 3, 1916. Survivors include her sons, Laird (Evelyn) of Rockville, MD, David (Carol) of West Des Moines, Marvin of Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren, Andrew and Jon Thomason, Kristin Gilbreth, Melanie Peterson, Bradley and Amanda Thomason; great-grandchildren, Tarah and Jolie Gilbreth, Kjistine and Rachel Peterson, and Amelia Thomason.

A memorial service and visitation with family to celebrate her life will be held at the Wakonda Christian Church at a date yet to be determined.

Loris was preceded in death by her husband, Frazer, who was a long-time minister at Wakonda Christian Church and former administrator of Ramsey Home in Des Moines.
