Patricia "Pat" Brown, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully of natural causes on January 1, 2025, at the age of 85. The daughter of Victor Alfred and Ruth Irene (Burton) Seghi, Pat was born on July 14, 1939, in Madrid, Iowa. Pat lived a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. On April 13, 1957, she was united in marriage to Henry "Carroll" Brown in Polk County. After graduating from high school, Pat worked at Principal Financial retiring after 20 years.

Pat was known for her warm heart and kind spirit. A devoted mother to her sons Curt, Tony, and Randy, and her daughter Deb Hainer, she filled her children's lives with joy and encouragement. Due to her nurturing nature, Pat became an extraordinary grandmother and great-grandmother. She found immense happiness in spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids, creating bonds that will last a lifetime.

Pat had a passion for life. Her love for reading and working on jigsaw puzzles kept her mind sharp. A true movie buff, she often shared her favorite films with family and friends. Many warm afternoons were spent sitting on the deck with her beloved dog, Wrigley, enjoying the simple pleasures of life. She was always eager to welcome friends, making each visit a warm and meaningful gathering.

A celebration of Pat's life will take place on January 11, 2025, at 10:00 am during a Funeral Service at Heritage Assembly of God, 5051 NE 5th Street Des Moines, Iowa 50313. A public viewing will be held at Coburn Funeral Home on January 10, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, offering friends and family an opportunity to pay their respects. Following the service on January 11, Patricia will be laid to rest in Lincoln Cemetery in Polk City, Iowa, at 11:30 am. Memorials may be directed to the family to be used at a later date. Pat is survived by her children, Curt (Linda) Brown, Tony (Sheila) Brown, Randy (Catherine) Brown, and Deb (Charlie) Hainer; 14 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Darlene Rose; a brother-in-law, R. Dwight (Carol Kay) Brown and many nieces, nephews and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband in 2023; two brothers; three sisters and a grandson, Jeremiah Brown. Pat was a loving and devoted mother, grandma, great grandma, sister-in-law, and aunt and will be missed by all.
