Dale J. Maust was born on February 20, 1932, at Hartley, Iowa, the son of the late James B. and Viola (Wagner) Maust Moore. He was a veteran serving with the U.S. Air Force. He was married to Renzella "Reny" Reitsma. He was a retired employee of Fry Wagner Moving & Storage and was a member of King of Kings Lutheran Church.

Mr. Maust died September 11, 2002 at the Liberty Hospital, Liberty, Mo. at the age of 70 years, six months and 21 days.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, "Reny" Maust; daughters; Denise R. Hughes of Blue Springs, Mo., Dawn R. Spears of Liberty, Mo.; sons Douglas D. Maust of Liberty, Mo., and David J. Maust of Blue Springs, Mo.; grandchildren: Steven Maust, Zachary Maust, Kayla Maust, Matthew Maust, Savanna Maust, Lauren Spears, and Kobey Spears. He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepfather, Francis Moore, and one brother, Merle Maust.

Funeral services were held September 14 at King of Kings Lutheran Church in Liberty, Mo. with Rev. Paul Schult officiating.

Burial was in Glenridge Cemetery, Liberty, Mo. with Park Lawn Northland Chapel in charge of arrangements.
