Mrs. Hans Reimer Passes Away
Margaret Emilie Hansen Reimer was born in Germany, February 15. 1903. Her father and mother both are still living and are Jacob Hansen and Martha Klein Hansen. At a tender age she was baptized at the place of her birth, Sonderboe. Holstein. In 1917 she was confirmed in the Lutheran Church of her homeland. At the age of 21, she was married to Mr. Hans Reimer, the husband who is now left behind, a widower. From August 5, 1922, to September 10. 1939, they shared life's burdens and joys together.
One daughter, Anna, was born to this union. Two years after their marriage in 1924, the Reimers came to America, settling first in Minnesota.
After a year in Minnesota, they came to Iowa, joining the Zion Lutheran Church of Paullina in 1937.
Mrs. Reimer was in failing health for some time but only a short time did it appear how sick she really was. She departed Sunday morning, September 10, about 9 o'clock, her age being 36 years, 7 months. Interment took place September, 13. 1939, at the Prairie View Cemetery. Funeral services were conducted at the Zion Lutheran Church, by her pastor, the Rev. J. Hartmeister. The text of the sermon being by request was the 23 Psalm and the Hymn used was "Who knows how near my end may be."
