The announcement of the death of Mrs. Leona Fick at her late home in this city at about on o'clock yesterday was received with much sorrow throughout this community. The young wife gave birth to a son on the 8th of February and was considered as doing nicely until Friday of last week when complications set in and her condition gradually grew more serious. Three physicians were called in the case, and for a time it was thought he [sic] would recover, but the end came as stated.
This is indeed a sad blow and we with the entire community extend to the bereaved parents and the sorrowing hubsand our heartiest sympathy. The deceased grew to womanhood in this community and her friends were simply numbered by those whom she met in her daily walks.
On the fifth of March, 1921, she was led to the altar by Clifford Fick of this city and the happy couple had but recently moved into a new home and had plans laid for many a happy day, but it was not to be and there is now but sorrow where there was joy and happiness. We only wish it were possible to extend any word of sympathy which would lighten these hours of sorrow.
