Page 1George Anson of West Liberty, was killed Saturday morning at 10 o'clock when he fell fifty feet to the ground from the top of a silo on the Dennis Murphy farm four miles west of this city. The silo was nearly completed and Mr. Anson was learning over the edge doing some work when the accident occurred. His fall was witnessed by A. J. Williamson, rural mail carrier, who was driving by at the time, and he rushed to the injured man to town to a doctor. Mr. Anson passed away on the road to town. An examination disclosed his neck was broken. Mr. Anson was a prominent and life long resident of West Liberty, and was 40 years of age. He is survived by his wife and three children, his mother, Mrs. Henry Anson of West Liberty and a sister, Mrs. Ernest Gray of North Dakota. The remains were taken to his home at West Liberty Saturday evening.
