Funeral services for Richard Wigim, 69, were held at First Church United, West Liberty, Nov. 10, 1989 with the Rev. Ralph Farmer officiating. Burial with full military honors was in Oak Ridge cemetery.

Mr. Wiggim died at the Simpson Memorial Home Nov. 6.

The son of Robert and Nellie Rice Wigim, he was born at Ardon March 26, 1920. He married Florence Small at Springdale Sept. 29, 1950. She died in 1987.

The couple farmed until 1964. He was then employed at the H. D. Cline Company, West Liberty. He retired in 1982 after operating a small engine repair business.

A veteran of World War II, he served with the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of First Church United, the American Legion, the Mt. Calvary Masonic lodge and the Midwest Antique Gas and Tractor association.

He is survived by a daughter, Jeanette Wigim, Coralville; a son, Michael, West Liberty; a sister, Ruthann Cooper, Pueblo, Colo. and 3 grandchildren.
