Funeral services for Mrs. Edward (Anne Maude) Cawiezell, 103, were held at West Liberty Nov. 6 with burial in Parr cemetery, northwest of Muscaitne.

Mrs. Cawiezell died at her home southwest of West Liberty Nov. 2.

The daughter of Edward and Nancy Funk Wathan, she was born in Muscatine county Aug. 14, 1886. She married Edward Cawiezell near Wilton Feb. 14, 1912. They farmed in the Pleasant Prairie area until 1929 when they moved to rural West Liberty.

She is survived by a daughter, Vera Cawiezell, with whom she lived; a son, Walter, Plainfield, Ind. and several step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and 4 brothers.
