Mrs. Elizabeth Chambliss, aged 73, a former resident of Muscatine Island, passed away last Friday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Schweitzer, at Oakville. Her death was due to Bright's disease with which she had suffered for the past four months. Another daughter, Mrs. Geo. Schweitzer, also resides in Oakville. She went to Oakville about three years ago from Muscatine and made her home with her daughters. During her stay there she had won many friends who will greatly miss her and also leaves a number of children and other relatives to mourn her death. Short funeral services were held Sunday morning and the remains were taken to Muscatine and laid to rest.
