Funeral services for Harold Keele, 77, West Liberty, will be held at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, Oct. 19,1988 at the United Methodist church, with burial in the Oak Ridge cemetery.

Mr. Keele died Oct. 17 at Mercy hospital in Iowa City following an extended illness.

He was born June 26, 1911 in Dysart and married Mary Louise Hutchinson Aug. 7, 1937 in Muscatine. He graduated from Cornell College in Mt. Vernon in 1933 and the University of Iowa Law School in 1936.

Mr. Keele moved to West Liberty after his graduation, where he practiced law his entire life. He served in the Navy during World War II and from 1946 to 1956 was the mayor of West Liberty. He was a member of the United Methodist church, member and past master of Mount Calvary Masonic Lodge, a member of the Davenport Consistory and Kaaba Shrine and the Rotary club.

He is survived by his wife; a son, James, West Liberty; a daughter, Karen Madden, Oceanside, Calif.; a brother, Charles, Waterloo and 3 grandchildren.
