Funeral services for Eva Oepping, 92, West Liberty, were held Oct. 6, 1988 at Snider Funeral Home, West Liberty, with the Rev. Ralph Farmer officiating. Burial was in the Overman cemetery east of Atalissa.

Mrs. Oepping died Oct. 3 at the Simpson Memorial Home following an extended illness.

The daughter of Hiram and Martha Theis DeVore, she was born Dec. 8, 1896 near Atalissa. She married Fred Oepping Oct. 4, 1915 in Atalissa. She was a member of the First Church United in West Liberty.

Mrs. Oepping is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Elma) Binggeli, Hills; 4 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1982, 3 sisters and 4 brothers.
