Funeral services for Gordon D. Martz, 59, rural Stockton, were held Sept. 15, 1988 at Lacock Funeral Home in Durant, with the Rev. Leland Eyres officiating. Pallbearers were Lloyd Ralfs, Robert Walker, Jr., Otto Vinkovics, Craig Kahl, Kevin Kahl and Bob Denny. Burial was in the Durant cemtery.

Mr. Martz died Sept. 13 at his home following an extended illness.

The son of Henry and Mamie Fisher Martz, he was born Dec. 7, 1928 in Muscatine county. He was a member of the Sweetland United Methodist church and the Durant American Legion. He was an Army veteran and served in the Korean conflict.

Mr. Martz is survived by his companion of many years, Wanda Walters; a brother, Weldon, Wilton and a sister, Elaine Martz, Tulsa, Okla. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter.
