Funeral services for Dorothy Heston, 69, Muscatine and formerly of West Liberty, were held Aug. 15 at the George M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home, with the Rev. William Keller officiating. The organist was Florence Hetzler and pallbearers were Mernon Peck, Dean Strouse, William Krider, George Schmidt, William Shoultz and Robert Bierman. Burial was in Memorial Park cemetery.'

Dorothy Heston died Aug. 11 at University hospitals in Iowa City.

The daughter of Clark and Erma Finely Askam, she was born Aug. 7, 1917 in West Liberty. She married Marian Heston April 23, 1938 in Muscatine and they were lifelong residents of the West Liberty area.

She was employed at Heinz USA prior to her marriage.

Mrs. Heston is survived by her husband, a son, Ronald K. Heston, Muscatine; 5 brothers, Walter Askam, Herbert Askam, Clark Askam, Lester Askam and Leo Askam, all of Muscatine and 3 sisters, Mrs. Lawrence (Wilma) Fiagle, Moline; Mrs. Wayne (Florence) Thurston, Wilton and Mrs. Howard (Betty) Birkhofer, Muscatine.

She was preceded in death by 3 sisters.
