Final rites for James Franklin Yeager, 64, were held at the Atalissa Zion Lutheran church April 29 with the Rev. John Beck officiating. Pallbearers were Herbert Gatzke, Frank Meixner, Ron Shuball, Merlyn and Leland Spilger and Clarence March. Burial was in Muscatine Memorial cemetery.
Mr. Yeager died at his home April 25.
The son of Lewis A. and Walsie Austin Yeater, he was born at Atkins, Ark. July 28, 1921. He was married to Norma P. Eal at Russellville, Ark. July 28, 1942. He was an army veteran of World War II. He had been a meat cutter and operated a grocery store in Atalissa for 13 years. He was a member of Zion Lutheran church.
He is survived by his wife, 2 daughters, Jeannie Harper, Durant and Frankie Joe Moennick, Williamsburg; 4 grandchildren and a sister, Cummie Rock, Muscatine.
