Tuesday, December 21, 1993Services for Jack L. Wolford, 64, Red Oak, were Friday, Dec. 17, at Nelson-Boylan Funeral Chapel in Red Oak and burial was in Evergreen Cemetery, Red Oak. Mr. Wolford died Wednesday (Dec. 15, 1993) at his home following a brief illness. He was born April 19, 1929, in Red Oak to Donald and Winifred (Newburg) Wolford and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving aboard the U.S.S. Boxer. He married Margaret Corbin on Nov. 1, 1951, and she died July 27,1990. He then married Shirley Spetman on Dec. 31, 1992. Before retiring, he worked for Red Oak Fruit & Grocery many years, was owner-operator of Hy-Klas Grocery in Red Oak several years after which he was employed by Parker-Hannifin in Red Oak for 13 years. Memorials are suggested to Montgomery County Memorial Hospital or the American Heart Association. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Sharon Youngberg of Kearney, Neb., and Susan Oziuvenis of Lincoln, Neb., five stepchildren, Linda Schaffer, Robert, Randall and Rick Vance and Tanya McQuoid; two grandchildren; and his mother.
