St. Marys Township Land Ownership

I'm looking into the land ownership history of Township 73, Range 43, Section 6 from the time the first land was sold in about 1853 or so until about 1910. The 1910 Plat Map shows my G-Grandfather J.B. Brandt owning part of that section and I would like to know who owned that property previous to that. The specific property I'm interested in is the SE Quarter of Section 6.

If anybody could point me to a reference I would appreciate it.
