I'm trying to locate information about where the Hastings Postoffice was located between 1898 and 1903, when my ggrandfather John B. McKown was the Postmaster. Also would be interested in finding out the cause of the sudden death of his daughter and assistant postmistress Ila Jacqueline McKown, who passed away 26 Nov 1903. Shortly after that the family scattered, with two sons remaining in Mills County, but the rest removing to Shelby County or to Nebraska.
