Bobbie is survived by his wife Veronica of Marshalltown, his children: Larry Jay of Coralville, Dennis Jay of Marshalltown, Teri (Greg) Wilson of Marshalltown, Barbara Jay of Des Moines, Steven (Erin Toot) Jay of Nevada, Iowa, and Karen Jay of West Des Moines, his grandchildren: Jamie (Stewart) Gardner, Jeff (Maggie) Wilson, Jaleb Jay and Jacoby Jay, his sisters-in-law: JoAnn Jay of Marshalltown, and Shirley Jay of Interlaken, New York, and several nieces and nephews.
