1888 IMMIGRATION RECORD OF WILLIAM PALTZER & WIFE NIELTJE KLEIN PALTZER FROM HOLLAND TO USA
The following Paltzer family information was found in the Immigration Records for the ship Zaandam, which sailed from Amsterdam, Netherlands to the United States, arriving in New York on Sept. 24, 1888
(Contributor’s Note: The handwritten spelling of the surname in the immigration records is “Palzer” - without the “t”. This is believed to be a spelling error by the person recording the data. A Dutch variation of the spelling was “Paltser”. The Jasper and Marion County, Iowa descendants of this family spelled their name “Paltzer”.)
William (or Willem, Wilhelm) Paltzer, age 70, born in 1818, presumably in Holland.
Neiltje or Nieltje Paltzer (nee Klein), age 60, born in 1828, presumably in Holland.
Cornelia Paltzer (presumably their daughter), age 26, born in 1862, presumably in Holland.
Johann Paltzer (presumably their son), age 22, born in 1866, presumably in Holland.
