The Chariton Leader, Chariton, Iowa
Saturday, March 31, l877MARRIED. -- At the residence of the bride's parents, on Tuesday, March 27, MR. J.C. PEACOCK, of Chariton, to MISS LOUIE CORBUS, of Knoxville, Iowa. Rev. S.L. Dodder officiating.
Though not an unexpected event, yet the hosts of warm friends of the young couple will extend to them a kind and sincere wish for a long life of married happiness. MISS LOUIE, from a long residence in this city, had secured the friendship and admiration of her associates and is in all that constitutes a young lady of worth and refinement, well calculated to make our friend J.C. a true and faithful wife. The bridegroom is well known among us as the polite and efficient express agent, and combines the virtues of industry with that of the highest integrity, besides being possessed of social qualities of the most agreeable character. The married couple, immediately after the ceremony, started on a pleasant wedding tour among JAKE's old friends, in the states of Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee, after which we presume they will take up their residence in this city.
