Albert Duane Crawford, son of Clint and Ada B. McGinnis Crawford was born August 11, 1921 in St. Charles, Iowa and departed this life Sunday, January 29, 1989 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa at the age of 67 years, five months and 17 days.

Duane, a farmer, was a graduate of Truro High School in 1939. He lived most of his life on a family farm in Virginia Township. He was a member of Christians Alone and the Broadhorn Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Clee; and a sister, Winnie Marsh.

Survivors include two brothers, Keith of Truro, Iowa and Jim and his wife, Wanda of Truro; three nieces and five nephews; as well as other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held Thursday, February 2 at 11 a.m. at the Kale Funeral Home in Truro. Burial was in the St. Charles Cemetery at St. Charles, Iowa. The Rev. John Long of Indianola, Iowa officiated at the services.
