Services for James G. Adams, 86, retired Great Western Railroad telegraph operator, were held Wednesday afternoon at the Community Church in Martensdale. Interment was at the St. Charles Cemetery.

Mr. Adams died Sunday, July 9, at the home of his son, Frank Adams in Martensdale. He had been ill several months. He had been employed by The Great Western for over 35 years at Martensdale and Waterloo, retiring in 1945.

Besides his son, Frank, he is survived by three grandsons.
