Robert "Butch" Pearson, 82, of Winterset, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2024 at Azria Health Winterset.

Butch, as most called him, was born in Madison County, Iowa on March 20, 1942 to Ernest and Opal (Davis) Pearson. He attended Winterset Schools and was a lifelong resident of Madison County. He worked for the Madison County Secondary Road Department until retirement. After retiring, he worked several years at Agriland FS as a part-time seasonal employee.

He enjoyed hunting and being outdoors and was a long-time member of the Madison County Coon Hunters Club. He enjoyed going to local auctions and socializing with friends when he was out and about driving around town.

He was married to Donna Pearson and to this union they had three children, Betty, Steven and Brenda. Later in his life, he married Carolyn Rankin.

He is survived by his children, Betty (Jim) Dolan, Steven (Brenda) Pearson, and Brenda (Bryan) Meyers; grandchildren, Emily Rucker, Mackenzie Bevins, Lindsey Meyers, and Lane Meyers; great grandchildren, Caroline Fennewald, Jack Bevins, and Kaycee Bevins; and a sister, Mary Rychnovsky.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Joe Pearson; and sisters, Maxine Hamell and Josie Davis.

Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 AM, Monday, December 30, 2024 at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home, Winterset Chapel. A graveside service will immediately follow in the Winterset Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family for a future designation.
