Sheri Lea Monroe, 43, of Little Rock, passed away January 9, 2014. Born in Des Moines, Iowa, she was a Certified Nursing Assistant. She was also a Taekwondo Mom (TKD) and a breeder of Bassett Hounds.

She is survived by her husband, Galen M. Monroe and daughter, Genny Esperanza Abella-Gillman, both of Little Rock; her parents, Leroy and Charlene Gillman of Earlham, Iowa; brother, Todd Gillman (Barbara) of Knoxville, Tennessee; nieces, Bethany Gillman and Alex Gillman; nephews, Jason Gillman and George Gillman; in-laws, Berwin and Winnie Monroe; and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be Sunday, January 12 from 3-5 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Services will be Monday, January 13 at 2:00 p.m. at Ivy Chapel, officiated by Rev. Brenda Vaught, followed by interment at Ivy Chapel Cemetery.
