The Ladies of the History Club enjoyed a picnic dinner at the home of MRS. S
S. ARNOLD, Monday.The Sophomore class is planning a picnic outing at Slab Castle for the
remainder of the week.MISS PHURNE YOUNG entertained the Peter Pan Club and a few friends at her
home on Monday evening.The May dance given by MRS. SUSIE HASSELQUIST at the K.P. Hall Wednesday
evening, was attended by about fifty couples. A number of out of town
guests were present from Albia, Knoxville, Garden Grove and Osceola. Frappe
was served.MISS JESSIE MCINTIRE assisted by her pupils gave a recital at her studio,
Tuesday evening, to the parents and some invited guests. The musical program
was rendered and enjoyed by all present.The Impromptu Club entertained informally at the home of MRS. HOMER COUGHLAN
Thursday evening. Games and other amusements made up a delightful evening.
A dainty luncheon was served.A miscellaneous shower was given in honor of MISS LEONA HOWARD, at the home
of MISS MARGARET GAY, Friday afternoon, by the members of the Pandora Club
of which she is a member. A large number of pretty and useful gifts were
bestowed upon the bride to be. A two-course luncheon was served, and a
pleasant time reported.
