In Response To: Samuel Hamilton Blair (Ann Cotter Schrader)

This what I was able to locate for you. Hope this helps.

Marriage -- Sedalia, Pettis County, Missouri --- April 11, 1904
Saml. H. Blair of Walters, Comanche, Oklahoma to Ella F. Mckissick of Sedalia, Pettis County.

Ella's maiden name was Janes and her first marriage was to McKissick.

In 1900, Samuel H. Blair, wife and son, Dan Blair were living in Eldorado Springs, Cedar, Missouri. He and wife had been married 26 years which is consistent with his first marriage on September 17, 1874 in Washington County, Iowa to Almeda Mickey. He was a salesman and owned his house free of a mortgage. This suggests that the divorce would have occurred, probably in Cedar County, Missouri between 1900 and 1904. Since they owned a house, it would be part of a sale or the divorce.

In 1910, Samuel and Ella Blair were living in Strauss, Comanche, Oklahoma. Living with them was her mother, Mary E. Janes and son Daniel from his first marriage. They had been married 6 years.

In January 1920, Samuel H. and Ella F. Blair were living in Walters, Cotton, Oklahoma;

In 1900, Ella (Janes) McKissick [born May 1860] was living in Pilot Grove, Cooper, Missouri. She was a school teacher. Her maiden name is Janes and not Jones or James as confirmed by both of her parents' obituaries.
