I was raised in Oakville (first 25 yrs. of my life---I left in 1965) and knew the BAXTERS and MELLINGERS. Jim and Elsie BAXTER and daughter Fredda. They are all deceased. I don't remember Jim when I was growing up---think he was already dead. Fredda married late in life and had no offspring. My parents grew up with Fredda and I will ask my Mom more about this family. My great grandmother's sister, Clarietta "Etta" BELL, married a Henry MELLINGER in 1885. They had 4 sons and 1 daughter. One son,
Verne Rex MELLINGER, married Ruth FARIS. Also, there was a Frank MELLINGER, George MELLINGER, Mike MELLINGER,& Russell "Bub" MELLINGER(married Grace ?), Loyal MELLINGER, and Neil MELLINGER. These MELLINGER men are not all the same generation and I can find out, from my Mother, who belongs where. I will let you know what I find out. I will also ask her who these fellas married. Hope these are your MELLINGERS.
