Page 1Funeral services over the remains of Earl Davis, who passed away at Columbus Junction on Friday evening, were held at the home of H. P. Simond, where he resided for the past three years. The young man's death was due to typhoid fever and followed an illness extending over a period of eight weeks. He was confined to his bed for the past month. The decent was born in Roseville, Ill. His parents Mr. and Mrs. Frank H. Davis, resided here for some years later removing to Minnesota where they now reside. Aside from his parents, the departed is survived by the following brothers and sisters: R. I. of Delhart, Tex.; Phil of Grand Forks, Nebr., Fred of Central City, Mo., Mrs. Anna Tyner of Bentonsport, Ia and Carl, Bessie, Nellie and Hubert residing at home. The Rev. C. K. Jones of Barnes City, Ia., conducted the obsequies. Mr. Davis was a carpenter by trade and enjoyed a wide acquaintance in this community.
