Word was received Tuesday morning of the death of Mrs. Margaret Lorenz which occurred at Pulaski, Iowa, January 29, 1912. The remains were brought to Wapello yesterday and funeral services were held from the German M. E. church, conducted by Rev. David Froeschle. Interment in the Wapello cemetery. Margaret Feige was born in Germany, Mar. 19, 1827 and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. D. M. Gregory, Jan. 28, 1912 at the age of 74 years, 10 months and 9 days.

The deceased came to Baltimore, Md., in 1857. Here she married Mr. Frederick Behrens, July 15, 1858, who died soon after. To this union was born one child, Mrs. Gregory. In 1859 she was married the second time to Mr. August W. Lorenz, who preceded her in death , Feb. 28, 1905. To this union was born 5 children, of which only 2 boys survive, W. H. and J. A. Lorenz, of Chicago. Mrs. Lorenz joined the German M. E. church of this place in 1989. She passed away very suddenly of heart trouble.
