Page 8A. D. McNamer passed away at his home in Columbus City Monday morning at 8 o'clock, after the brief illness of one week with a complication of diseases. Andrew Doan McNamer was born on the McNamer farm east of Columbus Junction, September 23, 1849. Most of his life has been spent in and near Columbus Junction except four years, when the family loved in Kansas. He was married to Miss Mary Fowler, two children being born to this union who survive John McNamer of Cotter and Mrs. Fred Wagner of Columbus Junction. His second marriage was to Miss Effie Dobbs, who survives him. To this union eight sons were born, They are: Phillip, Howard, Andrew, Bert, Ora, Noah, Frank and Ralph. The funeral services were held Wednesday from the Pleasant Grove Bethel church conducted by Rev. A.W. Lawrence, pastor of the U. P. church. Interment in the Indian Creek cemetery.
