Mrs Barnhard Shade, a long time resident of Grandview township, died at her home Monday morning after a long illness. Mrs. Christina Felger was born in Ohio on February 12, 1833 and was at the time of her death seventy-eight years of age. Mrs. Shade is survived by her husband, who is in feeble health. The funeral was held, Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Indian Creek schoolhouse and burial was made in the cemetery nearby. The services were conducted by Rev. J. D. Wilson, pastor of the Baptist church in Columbus City.
