Morning Sun News-Herald: Mary A. Cunningham, widow of George Cunningham, died suddenly Friday evening, February 10, 1911, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. G. Reed, in Utica, Ohio, aged 84 year, 3 months and 21 days. The deceased was born in Lancaster, Pa., in October 20th, 1826, and removed with her parents to Guernsey county, Ohio in early childhood, On June 30, 1853 she was united in marriage to Geo. Cunningham. For nearly 56 years she proved a devoted helpmet, until he was removed by death May 3, 1909.

In the Spring of 1855 they removed to Iowa, settling in Louisa county. They came to Morning Sun in the spring of 1877 where she resided until after her husband’s death. Since that time she has been making her home in Ohio with her daughter. She was a lifelong member of the Reformed Presbyterian church. She was a kind and obliging neighbor, commanding the respect of all who knew her. Her remains were brought to Morning Sun and the funeral services were held in her old home conducted by Rev. E. K. McKnight. The interment was in Sharon cemetery, where rests the remains of her husband and four children. Three children remain, Margret Cunningham of Morning Sun, Mrs. W. T. Graham, of Omaha, Neb., and Mrs. J. G. Reed, of Utica Ohio.
