Page 3Morning Sun News Herald: Mrs. Henry Finke died at the family home southwest of town Monday morning, December 26th, 1910. She had been sick for a long time, but was a patient sufferer, and all that loving hands could do was done for her. Caroline Wilhelmina Frederika Riepe was born in Des Moines county, Iowa, Aug. 31, 1864, being 46 years, 3 months and 26 days old at the time of her death. When fourteen years of age she united with German Evangelical church in Des Moines county, where she remained a faithful member until her death. She was united in marriage to Henry Finke, April 15, 1894.
She leaves to mourn her loss, besides her husband, one step- daughter, Alpha Finke, her mother, Mrs. J. H. Riepe of West Burlington, and the following brothers and sisters: Ben Reipe, of Denver, Colo.; Otto Riepe, of Jacksonville, Texas; Albert Riepe, of Kent, Iowa; Mrs. Amalia Thie and Mrs. Clara Lofgren, of Sperry, Iowa and Joseph and Alpha Riepe of West Burlington, Iowa. The funeral was held from the residence on Thursday last at 9 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. A. E. Cameron. A second service was held at the German Evangelical church near Latty station by the German Evangelical pastor.
