Henry Simmons, who for the past fourteen years has lived near Columbus Junction, and who for the past several months has been confined to his home with tuberculosis, passed away soon after midnight Sunday night. He was 67 years of age and leaves a wife and eight children. All but two of the children are married. Mr. Simmons had not been in good health for several years. Henry Austin Simmons was born in West Virginia March 23, 1849. He grew to manhood and was married to Miss Mary Pine in his native state. They later came to Iowa and their home has been near Columbus Junction. They were the parents of nine children, one being dead. The living who with the mother mourn the loss of husband and father are. Albert of West Virginia; Alvin, Alfred, Mrs. Nora Davis, Mrs. Hutoka Armbright and Henry, all living near by and Walter and Bessie at home.
