The seven weeks old baby of T. A. Baird and wife of Newport died suddenly Monday night. It seemed as well as usual at eight o'clock. Mrs. Baird wakened up after a short nap about ten o'clock and noticed that the baby felt cold. Examination proved that it was dead. A physician was sent for and it was concluded the infant's death must have been due to heart failure. The funeral was held yesterday.

Newport - Our community was shocked to learn of the sudden death of the seven weeks old babe of T. A. Baird. At nine o'clock Monday eve it was put to bed apparently in good health and at ten its father discovered it was lifeless. A doctor was summoned but no cause could be given. The funeral services will be held from the home at 10 o'clock Wednesday. Interment in Morning Sun cemetery.
