Jacob H. Swafford died May 5, 1907, at the home of his son, George, three miles south of Cairo, of pneumonia. He was born in Ohio April 8, 1829 and was 78 years and 27 days old at the time of his death. The funeral was held at the home Tuesday at 2 p. m., conducted by Rev. C. R. Zimmerman in the presence of a large crowd of old friends and neighbors. Burial in the old Concord cemetery between Wapello and Morning Sun.
