You should be able to obtain her death certificate from Lee County, Iowa. Based on what I located for you, she died on September 25, 1949 at St. Joseph Hospital and is buried in Oakland Cemetery in Keokuk.

Hold Funeral Service For Mrs. Margaret Ewing
The funeral service for Mrs. Margaret Ewing, who died at St. Joseph hospital Sunday morning, was held at the Schmidt Memorial home at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. She was buried in Oakland cemetery. The Rev. George Ramsey officiated, and Mrs. Marjorie Bullis. Pallbearers were Estel Foster, William M. Ball, George Hansen, Chester Mann, Raymond Laehn and Charles Shrader.

Mrs. Margaret Ewing of 1116 Fulton street, died at the St. Joseph hospital Sunday morning at 9:35, after she had been in failing health for several years and a patient in the hospital for ten days.
Born December 19, 1875, in Ireland, she came to the United States when a young girl, and has been a resident of Keokuk for the past 32 years. She was the daughter of Edward and Bridget Malloy McNally. In 1898 she was united in marriage to James Nixon who preceded her in death. In 1918, she married George Ewing who died in 1937. She was also preceded in death by a son Harry Nixon in 1940, four daughters and two step-daughters. A member of the Women's Benefit Association, Mrs. Ewing is survived by two sons, Claude Nixon of Keokuk and Joseph Nixon of Roanoke, Va.; three step-daughters, Mrs. Alta Pruntv of Keokuk, Mrs. Melva Huston of Hamilton, and Mrs. Mae Brackenseik of Tioga, Ill.; one stepson Dewey Ewing of Macomb; three sisters, Mrs. A. H. McCoy of Chicago, Mrs. Ed Shrader of Melrose, Ia., and Mrs. A. J. Dowell of Moline, Ill., one brother, Thomas McNally of Waterloo and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be held from the Schmidt Memorial home on Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock with burial in Oakland cemetery.
