Diane Rigby has transcribed Jones County 1899 marriages. I am "curious" (some would say "snoppy")...

#4298 March 5, 1899 Luther Vandermark 35 NY (bartender Monticello)married Emma Olive Darrow/Dawson 21. It is his 2nd marriage and her first.

Parents listed: Wm & Mary (Connors) Vandermark
Frank & Sarah (Brazelton)Dawson/Darrow.

Luther was born in Ulster Co., NY. Emma Olive says she was born in Monticello.

D E Pond picked up the marriage license.

The 1910 census shows Luther living with his "Mother-in-law", Mary Howe.

Luther's first marriage was to Harriet born NY.

The 1880 Monticello census shows Olive Dawson age 6 (parents: Frank & Sarah (Brazelton) Dawson).

On Rootsweb, one researcher shows Luther married Olive Julia Howe in 1899 in Monticello. They list her parents as Wm & Mary (Vanvolkenburg) Howe.

Can anyone clarify this information?
