Mrs. Velma Mae Rudolph, 64, died at University hospitals, Iowa City, over night Tuesday from burns suffered in her home on Walworth avenue here Dec. 28.

Mrs. Rudolph suffered burns when her clothes caught fire at her home, where she lives alone. She was able to put the fire out, but attempts to get help failed. Apparently she was not able to start her car, and when she went to her only neighbors, the Ivan Edens, they were not at home, so she returned to her home. She was found on New Year's day, five days later, and rushed to the hospital.

Survivors include a brother, George Preston, Anamosa.

Services are pending at Goettsch Funeral home.
