Mrs. Cecil Farmer, 66, died early Sunday, Nov. 28, 1971 after an illness of several weeks.

Born Augusta Anna Rieken Dec. 12, 1904 in Wayne township, Jones county, she was the daughter of William and Emma Helgens Rieken. She received her early education in the Wayne township school and on May 18, 1930 she was married Cecil Farmer. They have made their home in Anamosa since then.

Mrs. Farmer is survived by her husband and two children, Robert Farmer, Anamosa, and Mrs. Norman (Janet) Nesley, Marion. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, two brothers, William and George Rieken, Monticello, and three sisters, Mrs. Meta Dirks and Mrs. Lena Dirks, both of Anamosa and Mrs. Ella Conley, Martelle. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Laura Rieken Stambaugh.
