Jacob Ramey & Catharine Cline Scott

Catharine Cline married Samuel Scott and had had 12 children after Samuel died she remarried to Jacob Ramey on 13 Feb 1873 according to Jefferson Co. Records. But in the 1880 Jefferson Co. census Jacob is found living with one of his son's Ezra and his family. Catharine died 17 July 1902 in Abingdon but according to her obit there is no mention of her marriage to Jacob Ramey. Could they have divorced between 1873 and 1880? Any one who might know something your information will be greatly appreciated.
