my great-great-grandfather Sven Anderson (also spelled Swen, Swan & Andersson) died in 1862 somewhere in Iowa. He left a widow, Maja Stina Mansdotter, (she may have changed her last name to Anderson upon coming to America) and an 18 year old son, Charles Anderson, my great grandpa.
I cannot find any death records, obits, or even a burial site for Sven! Family story is that Maja Stina remarried within a year. Does anyone know anything about these people????
I'd be happy to do research in southwest Minnesota in return.
