Other helpful information: William Hillman Cort (1862,Mass.-1929,Illinois) and Sarah Francis
Caviness(1867,Iowa-1907,Illinois)married in Jefferson Co. in 1885. I only have the year of marriage not the month and day. Sarah Francis Caviness was the daughter of Richard
Ellis Caviness.

William Carlton Cort (25 Dec. 1888 - 13 Dec.
1953,Illinois) is the son of William H. and Sarah F. Cort. William C. Cort was born in Pleasant Plains, Jefferson Co., Iowa. According to the
obit of Sarah Francis Caviness Cort, there was also a daughter born. The daughter is listed as a survivor but with her husbands initials, not her name.

I would guess that because she was listed first of the surviving children, she is the eldest born. Guessing again that she was born
between 1885 and 1888 when my grandfather William C. was born. I can not find the name of the daughter of Sarah F. Caviness Cort.

I have not been able to find this family in the 1900 census and the daughter was married at the time of Sarah F. Cort's death in 1907. Is there any way somebody can help me locate the name of the daughter?
