Elmer R. Wulf, 65, Lifelong Resident, Dies at Hospital
Elmer R. Wulf, 65, of 601 North 3rd Ave. East, a lifetime resident of Jasper county, died Tuesday at the Veterans hospital in Des Moines.
Mr. Wulf underwent major surgery recently.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Morgan-Loehr funeral home.
The Rev. Arthur V. Long, minister of the First Methodist church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in Newton Union cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel; and two sisters, Mrs. Lena Benskin of Des Moines and Mrs. Pearl Slater of Long Beach, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and four sisters.
He was a member of the Methodist church.
Mr. Wulf was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, the Elks club.
The son of John and Letitia Linder Wulf, he was born May 12, 1895.
Educated in Newton schools, he was married to Hazel Stewart November 11, 1920 at Newton.
Mr. Wulf was a retired farmer.

Funeral services for Elmer R. Wulf, 65, a lifelong resident of Jasper county, were held Thursday afternoon at the Morgan-Loehr funeral home.
The Rev. Arthur V. Long, minister of the First Methodist church, conducted the services.
Burial was in Newton Union cemetery with graveside rites performed by Newton Post No. 111 of the American Legion.
Pallbearers were Forrest Warner, Cecil Musgrove, Richard Kearns, Jack Roberts, George M. Conn and Henry Jensen.
