Leonard's baptismal record 1871

Great-granddad (first name Leonard) born in Springbrook in January 1871 to Catholic family. At that time, no priest assigned to Sts Peter and Paul Church so a 3-year gap in the record. Wondering if they took the baby to a neighboring parish to get him baptized.
